After a long rainy summer, the day finally came when we could hop on a plane and head to the coast. We spent five wonderful days on South Padre Island.

Boogie boarding, skim boarding, and just playing in the sand. . . It was all fun!
THE WEDDING
Our friends, Debbie and David, invited us to their daughter's wedding. After a long walk down to the beach, we were honored to be part of the beautiful occasion.
Waiting for a wedding to begin is so much more fun when you can take your shoes off and play in the sand. Notice the red triangles on my feet. Wearing the same sandals all summer provided the perfect place for a sun burn.

A VISIT TO KINGSVILLE TO SEE AUNT SHIRLEY
When we are in Kingsville, we love to go downtown. We had lunch at Harrell's Soda Fountain. Then we shopped at the The King Ranch Saddle Shop and made a quick stop at Roy's Hobby Shop.
